Origin Story
Brothers Derrick and David Knudsen founded Meta Talent Group in August of 2020 amidst a pandemic, a social justice movement, and an uncertain economy. They are not strangers to adversity though, as their ancestors emigrated to America post-WWII to forge financial freedom by way of opening bakeries and delis in New York City.
Considering this, it is not surprising that they chose the path of entrepreneurship. But why a recruitment firm specializing in cannabis and alternative medicines?
Choosing to hyper-focus their talents on the cannabis and alternative health industries was a purposeful and methodical decision. These are burgeoning fields that align with their own core beliefs and passions. They have witnessed first-hand the trials and tribulations friends and family members have experienced struggling with mental health and addiction disorders. In the cannabis, psychedelic, and alternative medicine industries, they have discovered powerful use cases that help lead to recovery and rehabilitation. These were transformative experiences for Derrick and David that inspired them to support a cause they believe in so energetically.
Today, their family’s entrepreneurial spirit lives on with Meta Talent Group. Derrick and David aim to help transform the world by connecting purpose-driven people with companies that champion change.
